What are we doing? Responding to evil with God's Power

Jan 11, 2026    Tony Streigle

We are responding to evil with God’s power, not with fear, hatred, or self-righteous judgment.

Jesus addresses this directly in Luke 13:1–4. When people pointed to tragedies and assumed the victims were worse sinners, Jesus corrected them. He made it clear that suffering is not proof of greater sin, and He turned the focus back to every heart:

“Do you think they were worse sinners than all others? I tell you, no—but unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

So what are we doing?

We refuse to explain evil by blaming others.

We reject moral superiority.

We answer evil with repentance, humility, and obedience to God.

God’s power is released not through condemnation, but through repentance, truth, and transformed lives. Evil is confronted when hearts turn back to God, when His kingdom breaks in through righteousness, mercy, and faith.

In short:

We are not pointing fingers—we are turning hearts.
